Introduction

In my role at XD Team, I co-facilitated quite a few Design Thinking (DT) Workshops and always led the rapid prototyping sessions.

Below is one such DT Workshop we did for our Signals Team. We started by communicating that our goals were to design a baseline training for Signal Supervisors that gave them a basic understanding of the BRS agreement and a tool that could be used for continued education on the agreement.

Below are a few snippets of the 5 day DT workshops where Design thinking exercises, rapid prototyping, and stakeholder presentations concluded a successful Design session!

  • Day 1 - Understand and Ideate

    I co-facilitate this DT workshop by “Begin with end in mind“ with sessions like Lifecycle & Empathy mapping and Persona walkthrough.

  • Day 2- Rapid Prototyping

    The core group worked with me and my colleagues on the

    Agreement App prototype, providing content and design of the structure.

  • Day 3 - Building Strategy and Refining Prototypes

    I led the group through a storyboarding exercise where we began documenting

    the persona flow that the Agreement app would contain.

  • Day 4 - Testing and Live User Feedback

    We scheduled user feedback sessions where we tested and gained feedback for our prototyped strategy,

    web based training, and Signal Agreement Tool.

  • Day 5 - Stakeholder Presentation

    To wrap up the workshop we presented our findings, designs and next steps

    to our leadership and stakeholders.
